Steven Coutinho has a Masters Degree in Applied Medical physics (2001) and an MBA in Finance (2009). He is now doing his PhD in Behavioral Economics. He has 16 years of experience in banking and strategy consulting in emerging markets. From developing innovative sales growth campaigns to moving, consolidating and digitizing banking operations across 17 countries (RBC, Hakinbank, FMO-Dutch Development Bank), he aims to bring a different way of looking at improving business. In addition, he fulfills roles that bring about social impact such as being chairman of national utility company Aqualectra and independent member of the Social Economic Council. He is fascinated about how people make choices so also does research in behavioral economics. Last year he presented a new theory of economic decision making called “Control Probability” on TedX in October 2018.
